In a public announcment on the occasion of Dach & Wand (Roof and Wall) 2004 in Münich, Stephan Christensen, Member of the Management Board at RHEINZINK GmbH & Co. KG, was awarded the Golden Needle of Honour by the Central Association of German Roofers.

In the laudatory speech given by Manfred Schroder, President of the Association, particular praise was given to his positive thinking, his constructive collaboration and his craft-orientated approach.  Mr. Christensen played an important role in various working groups within the Roofing Association through his knowledge of the market and practical ideas evolving from this.  "I am very pleased to receive this honour and I dedicate it to all Rheinzink staff", said a beaming Stephan Christensen after the award ceremony, adding that "this will increase the profile of metal roofers in the Roofing Association".

Mr Christensen joined RHEINZINK 19 years ago. In 1989, he became Head of Applications Engineering.  It was at this time that the well-known technical book titled "RHEINZINK - Applications in Architecture", came about.  It has since been translated into many languages.  After various management positions in Sales and Marketing, Mr. Christensen joined the Management Board in 1996.
