Zinc is a sustainable material that can be used again and again.

Zinc can be used again and again without losing any quality or mechanical properties. Today, RHEINZINK's products consist of 30% recycled zinc. This warrants “Cradle to Cradle” Bronze certification.

Zinc is a sustainable material.
Nature's resources are not infinite, and therefore the collection, upcycling and recycling of building materials is a really good idea. The development of schemes that systematically collect material are becoming commonplace, this also applies to RHEINZINK.

Today, RHEINZINK's products consist of 30% upcycled or ‘secondary materials’. Unlike many other recycled materials, zinc does not lose value when recycled, but retains the original, high quality.

Less impact on the environment with upcycling.
RHEINZINK’s strategy simultaneously results in the reduction of material waste resources whilst also putting less strain on the environment, as it only takes 5% of the total amount of energy to upcycle zinc compared to producing new zinc from scratch. RHEINZINK continues to have a strong focus on  Cradle to Cradle certification and is continuously working on upgrading it.
